John Horgan says he is visiting ridings, past and present, represented by his Liberal counterpart, Premier Christy Clark this week because he is holding Clark responsible not only for the choices she has made as premier since 2011, but also for the legacy of 16 years of Liberal rule in B.C.
But the coffee shop where Horgan is scheduled to sit down and chat with local seniors on Thursday morning is not actually in Clark香蕉视频直播檚 Westside-Kelowna riding. It香蕉视频直播檚 in Kelowna-Mission, a riding represented by Liberal Forest, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Minister Steve Thomson.
A news release issued by the NDP on Wednesday said Horgan will meet with the seniors at Deli City, located at 1889 Springfield Road, which is south of the eastern-most part of Clark香蕉视频直播檚 riding.
Clark has represented Westside-Kelowna since just after the 2013 provincial election when she led her party to victory but lost her Vancouver-area seat to NDP challenger David Eby.
Horgan, who will arrive on the NDP campaign bus, will be joined at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday by the seniors, as well as Central Okanagan NDP candidates Shelley Cook (Kelowna West), Erik Olesen (Kelowna-Lake Country) and Harwinder Sandhu (Kelowna-Mission).
The writ to start the official 2017 provincial election campaign will be dropped April 11 and the election will be held May 9.
