Lake Country high school closed

Due to a transformer failure, there is no power at the school

There will be no classes at George Elliot Secondary School today (Thursday).

The has received notification that due to a transformer failure, there is no power at the school.

"Accordingly, we have to take the unusual step to cancel classes for students at the school today," said Kevin Kaardal, superintendent.

"Staff are asked to report to the school for further direction."
