Kelowna RCMP seek witnesses to bike-car collision

The Kelowna RCMP are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was injured and taken to hospital following a collision with a car early Tuesday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., officers with the municipal traffic section were called by BC Ambulance Service paramedics, who responded to a report of the collision near the intersection of Bernard Avenue and Elm Street in Kelowna.

Police have say the cyclist, who was riding east on Bernard Avenue at the time of the collision, may have suddenly turned left into the lane the blue Mitsubishi Lancer, also traveling in at the time. The car was also travelling east.

After being struck from behind the cyclist, a 20-year-old Kelowna woman, collided with the windshield of the Mitsubishi Lancer before falling to the ground. The woman was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of her injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

The car香蕉视频直播檚 driver, a 35-year-old Kelowna man, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators.
