Kelowna RCMP say they have arrested a suspect in the robbery of a downtown pharmacy that took place early Thursday evening.
A 39-year-old Ontario man remains in police custody after officers with the Kelowna RCMP香蕉视频直播檚 Downtown Enforcement Unit recognized him from images obtained from video surveillance at the pharmacy. The officers were checking on three individuals while on foot patrol in Millbridge Park shortly before 6 p.m. when they recognized the man. He was taken into custody without incident, said Cpl. Prior to the arrest, police officers flooded the downtown core in search of what they believed was a potentially armed suspect, said O香蕉视频直播橠onaghey.

Earlier in the day, at 8:12 a.m., police received the report of the robbery at the Pharmasave pharmacy located at 505 Doyle Avenue. They said the suspect in that robbery approached an employee inside the business and demanded prescription drugs. The suspect, who gave the impression he may be in possession of a weapon, fled the store on foot towards Bernard Avenue, said O香蕉视频直播橠onaghey.
