Anne McClymont Elementary School (AME) will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 following the mechanical failure of a water line supplying the school.
School district staff were able to act quickly when the failure occurred on Friday evening, calling for the assistance of the Kelowna Fire Department and city staff.
Work to repair the line is extensive and is expected to take about two weeks. There are plans to accommodate most classes at other nearby schools while the construction takes place.
Students in Grades 2-5 will return to school on Tuesday, Jan. 16 on an adjusted program. Anne McClymont Primary is not impacted and school will continue as normal.
