Good morning Kelowna.

1) The weather forecast for today says we may get a little sun today but it will be mostly cloudy and the temperature will get up to around 6 C. Not bad considering it's the middle of November in the Okanagan.

2) Last night the Central Okanagan Board of Education followed a number of other Canadian school districts and voted to . The move was immediately praised by the Okanagan Pride Society, who's president said hopefully the move will make young LGBTQ+ students feel a little safer in school.

3) Last night about 100 people turned out for the fifth annual marking of the Day of Remembrance for those who have died in vehicle accidents on our roads. They heard there are an average of three crashes a day on local roads and across B.C. a traffic death every 30 hours on average. Unfortunately, just as the group was pausing for a moment of silence, a collision occurred at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Dilworth Drive, close to where the outdoor event was taking place. No serious injuries were reported.

4) The Okanagan Regional Library Board , which calls for a 1.98 per cent increase to the budget.

5) Kelowna RCMP say a man who approached a girl on a Kelowna street and offered her a lift in his car last Monday A police spokesman said the man came forward and explained he mistook the girl for a friend's daughter. Police say they believe him.
