Conservation Officers in Vernon were quick to rescue an animal from harms way this past weekend.

A doe was reportedly in distress in the North Okanagan and needed help.

The deer had become entangled with a piece of wire which was trapped around the animalÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s neck.

Officers tranquilized the deer and freed the wire from its neck.

The doe was then reunited with her fawn.
