With the Daylight Savings time change this weekend, the Kelowna Fire Department is reminding residents to check their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks this weekend.
Daylight savings time takes place on Sunday, March 12 at 2 a.m. 香蕉视频直播 when clocks should be set forward one hour.
香蕉视频直播淲e would like to encourage everyone to take this opportunity to check their fire alarms as well,香蕉视频直播 said fire and life safety educator Rick Euper. 香蕉视频直播淚t saves lives. Investigations have shown that most fatal fires are due to a smoke alarm that didn香蕉视频直播檛 activate because of dead or missing batteries, or because there were no alarms in place.香蕉视频直播
If your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are battery operated, change the batteries, and don香蕉视频直播檛 forget to check the date on your alarms 香蕉视频直播 if they are ten years or older the alarms will need to be replaced.
