Jane Ilott and husband Steve arrived in Paris the day before the violence that was part of the Yellow Vest movement with 17-year-old son Callum and 15-year-old daughter Emily.

香蕉视频直播淲e actually walked the Champs Elysees the day before, stopped and had coffee and croissants at a sidewalk cafe,香蕉视频直播� Ilott said.

It was her first trip to Paris.

香蕉视频直播淲e stayed in the Marais district 香蕉视频直播� out of the danger zone, but down the street from the police station,香蕉视频直播� she said.

Police sirens began sounding Saturday morning and were still sounding when the Ilotts left Sunday morning.

香蕉视频直播淲e were headed to the Arc de Triumph [sic] for our tour,香蕉视频直播� Ilott said. 香蕉视频直播淭he protest was still going on and we decided to leave the area and come back later. After our tour of the Catacombs, we headed back to the Arc de Triumph. As we came around the corner we came upon the destruction of the Champs-Elysees.香蕉视频直播�

香蕉视频直播淸With] riot police blocking every side street, we had no choice but to walk through the aftermath of the worst riot in the history of Paris.香蕉视频直播�

The metro was shut down and Ilott had to find a taxi to get back to the hotel.

香蕉视频直播淲e hurried out of the area as the riot police were starting to form up again,香蕉视频直播� she said. 香蕉视频直播淲e didn香蕉视频直播檛 feel unsafe, but didn香蕉视频直播檛 want to linger.香蕉视频直播�

The violent demonstration by the 香蕉视频直播測ellow vest香蕉视频直播� movement saw about 80 luxury stores, restaurants and banks looted and burned.

In one case, a fire in a bank spread to a residential building and threatened the lives of a mother and child.

Nearly 200 people were arrested.
