Inspired by the Canada 150 celebrations, Colour Me Canada is the theme for the 24th edition of the Lake Country Art Walk Saturday, Sept. 9, and Sunday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Featuring art, music and dance, attendees can view more than 3,000 works of art with special exhibits dedicated to photography, fibre art, plein air painting and local youth; experience musical and dance performers on four stages, participate in special Canadiana related activities; listen to an art talk or see an art demonstration; purchase works of art by one of more than 300 artists participating and let the little ones explore their creative side.
Both the Paint Off Art Competitions where three artists complete a painting on a specific subject within 15 minutes; and the Quick Draw hour long drawing session are back this year.
These are unique opportunities to see the artist process at work.
You can also vote for your favourite artist of the show; ballot boxes will be available at the entrance and your name may be picked for some great prizes.
