A Penticton woman well known to police remains in custody on a number of charges in connection with an incident Feb. 14 which ended with her arrest in the Kaleden area.
Cpl. Wrigglesworth said police were called about a report of a stolen vehicle from Oliver which they were following and would not pull over. The car turned into Kaleden and police did not pursue it but instead blocked all the exits from the community and the suspect, Amanda Sach, gave herself up.
She appeared in Provincial court Friday facing charges of flight from a police officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of ammunition while prohibited. The matter was put over until Feb. 28 when she will reappear. Sach had earlier received a 30-month sentence in connection for her part in a home invasion in Nov. 2013.
