The West Kelowna Warriors fell 8-2 to Trail on Friday, Oct. 4.

It wasn't the West Kelowna Warriors' night on Friday as they fell 8-2 to the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Trail came out firing, scoring four first period goals.

Up 5-0 nearly halfway through the game, Warriors Sam Ledrew scored his first goal of the season to make it 5-1.

But that goal engulfed the Smoke Eaters as they scored three goals in the second half of the second period, to be up 8-1 after two periods.

In the third period, Frankie D'Ancona scored his first goal of the season for the Warriors.

West Kelowna is now 2-2-1 on the season while Trail is 4-1-1.

The two teams will face-off again on Saturday night, this time at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
