The Okanagan Sun held off the Langley Rams for their seventh straight on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Sun put up 28 points if the first half, at McLeod Athletic Park Stadium, to the Rams 9. It was all Langley in the third quarter as the home team put up 21 points against Okanagan香蕉视频直播檚 three, making it 31-30 for the Sun.
The Sun outscored the Rams 10-8 in the fourth winning 41-38 to remain the only undefeated team in the BC Football Conference (BCFC).
Okanagan quarterback Mark Filipek played the entire game completing 10 of 21 passes for 145 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Running back Elelyon Noa rushed for 103 yards on 21 attempts, and had three receptions for 100 yards. He scored all four Sun touchdowns and leads the league with 16. Through seven games this season, Noa leads the BCFC in rushing yards with 948, averaging 135.4 per game.
Kicker Liam Attwood went four-for-four on field goals.
On defense, Paul-Mario Nnamani had five tackles a forced fumble, and fumble recovery. Linebacker Jacob Bond contributed nine tackles. He now had a league-best 46 tackles, 10 more than the next player.
The Sun are on the road again this weekend (Sept. 14) travelling to Prince George to play the Kodiaks. The teams last met in August at the Apple Bowl with a 70-0 Sun win.
Going into the game, the Sun are first in the BCFC with their 7-0 record while it's been a tough season for Prince George so far as they are 1-6.
