WeÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™re about halfway through the hockey season and the NHL Central Scouting mid-term rankings have been released.

The list ranks the best North American and International hockey players who are draft-eligible for the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. In this mid-term list, the same two Kelowna Rockets and two West Kelowna Warriors who were on the initial list, have made the cut once again.

After his outstanding first half of the season, Rockets forward and Lake Country native Tij Iginla is ranked the 11th-best skater in North America. Iginla leads the Rockets with 27 goals in 38 games so far this season, his first with the Rockets. He has 49 points on the year, sitting third on the team in scoring.

West Kelowna Warriors Jack Pridham is 70th on the list among North American skaters. HeÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s fourth on the team with 30 points this season (13 goals, 17 assists).

Rockets rookie winger Hiroki Gojsic has been ranked 94th on the list in the mid-term rankings. In 38 games this season, he has eight goals and 12 assists.

Coming in at 149th on the list is Warriors rookie forward Callum Hughes. He has 14 goals and six assists so far this season.

Both the Rockets and the Warriors have been playing outstanding hockey for the last two months. The Rockets have won 12 of their last 17 games while the Warriors are 11-1-2 since Nov. 22.

The Rockets are on the road up in Prince George this weekend on Friday and Saturday night (Jan. 12 and 13) while the Warriors are at Royal LePage Place on Saturday and Sunday as they welcome the Cowichan Valley Capital and Merritt Centennials to town.
