The West Kelowna Warriors head to the Kootenays with a 2-0 series lead in their first-round playoff series against the Cranbrook Bucks.
Trent Wilson scored 16 seconds into overtime giving the Warriors a 4-3 win over Cranbrook on Saturday (Apr 6) night at Royal LePage Place.
The Bucks took the early lead 1-0 lead in the first period after Warriors香蕉视频直播� goaltender Rorke Applebee was knocked to the ice by a Cranbrook player.
After a brief conference, the referees signaled a good goal.
Following the goal Applebee left the game with an injury and Matthew DellaRusso was called in. West Kelowna evened the score on Jack Pridham香蕉视频直播檚 fourth of the playoffs at 12:54.
Trent Wilson and Landen Hilditch had the assists.
Pridham (5) put the Warriors up 2-1 with a power play goal just over five minutes into the second period with Isaiah Norlin and Viggo Nordstr枚m assisting.
Cranbrook tied the game at 9:09 on a goal by Patrick Murphy.
West Kelowna took the lead again at 1:38 of the third period as Callum Hughes notched his second goal of the playoffs. Jack Farrell and Jackson Kyrkostas assisted.
The Bucks forced overtime when Shane Baker scored at the 16:10 mark. West Kelowna made quick work of Cranbrook in the extra frame as Wilson scored 16 seconds in, assisted by Pridham.
Applebee turned aside eight of nine shots he faced while DellaRusso stopped 20 of 22 shots he faced in his first career playoff win. Applebee香蕉视频直播檚 injury was not disclosed by the team.
Games 3 and 4 are at Western Financial Place on Tuesday, Apr 9, and Wednesday, Apr 10. Game 5, if needed, will be back at Royal LePage Place on Friday, Apr 13.
