The Kelowna RCMP is joining forces with the Salvation Army this holiday season to bring smiles to children in need with its annual "Stuff a Cruiser" toy campaign.
On Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., police cruisers and donation boxes will be set up at the Kelowna RCMP detachment parking lot on Clement Avenue and Toys "R" Us at 2020 Harvey Avenue.
The public is encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys at either location, where officers and volunteers will be on hand to "stuff" the donated toys into the police cruisers. All contributions will benefit families supported by the local Salvation Army.
香蕉视频直播淚f you香蕉视频直播檙e able to make a donation, we香蕉视频直播檇 love to see you at one of our locations,香蕉视频直播 said Cpl. Michael Gauthier, media relations officer.
Last year香蕉视频直播檚 event raised over $11,000 and collected 500 toys. A generous matching donation from Stutters Restoration in West Kelowna helped ensure more families received gifts during the holiday season. The toys collected this year will bring joy to children across the Okanagan, many of whom might otherwise go without a gift this Christmas.
For those unable to attend on Nov. 30, donations can be dropped off at the Kelowna RCMP detachment from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
