Shannon Lake Road Active Transportation Corridor in West Kelowna almost done

The cost for the entire project, approved by city council in November 2023, is $5.175 million

Final paving work on sections of the Shannon Lake Road Active Transportation Corridor Project is underway.

Crews are paving the multi-use pathway off Shannon Lake Road from the bulk water station to Swite Road. Single-lane alternating is in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

Once paving is complete, crews will complete street lighting and landscaping which is expected by late fall. 

Construction is subject to weather conditions, contractor schedule changes, and other factors.

The cost for the entire project, approved by city council in November 2023, is $5.175 million.
