Semi crash on Coquihalla scatters Amazon deliveries

Packages were being delivered to the Nicola Valley

Crews are working to clear the scene after a semi-truck carrying Amazon packages overturned on the Coquihalla Highway Tuesday morning (Dec. 3).

The crash occurred around 9 a.m. near Juliet Road in the northbound lanes, according to DriveBC. Witnesses report that crews are recovering the truck and gathering hundreds of packages scattered across the roadway. The driver of the truck is reportedly uninjured and the cause of the crash has not been determined.

While the Coquihalla remains open, drivers are advised to use caution and watch for crews and equipment working between Juliet Road and Larson Hill, about 11.8 kilometres north of the Coquihalla Summit.
