Construction is underway on the $800,000 project to upgrade the aging irrigation infrastructure at Ben Lee Park in Rutland.

The project will be done over four phases. Construction will be limited to the south half of the park and phase one (next to the water park) will be completed before the splash park opens in May. A section of the parking lot at the south end of Ben Lee will be closed for construction staging.

The upgrades will extend the life of the irrigation equipment, and reduce maintenance costs, and water consumption. Irrigation improvements were completed in the north end of the park in 2024.
