A six-storey rental apartment building is being proposed for RutlandÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Hollydell neighbourhood.
The purpose-built project is planned for properties at 205, 215, 235 Valleyview Road near Holbrook Road West.
Under the cityÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s land use bylaw, the height permitted is four storeys with an additional two storeys allowed for rental-only developments.
The apartment will have units ranging from bachelor to three-bedrooms for a total of 117 units.
More than 60 per cent of the roof area will be dedicated to the enjoyment of occupants according to documents submitted to the city.
The project would require rezoning approval by council.
At MondayÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s (Feb. 26) meeting, council gave initial consideration to rezoning three lots on Sadler Road to allow a future rental apartment building.
The lots are located mid-block at 200, 210, and 230 Sadler Road, located between Hwy 33 and Mugford Road.
