A long-time member of Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Civic and Community Awards Steering Committee was recognized for her dedication at city council on Monday (Dec. 2).
Ellen Boelcke is retiring after 20 years of service on the committee. The annual awards program celebrates the exceptional contributions and achievements of individuals, teams, and businesses in Kelowna. It includes 13 categories recognizing volunteers, artists, athletes, environmental leaders, and businesses. Each category selects up to three finalists, with one recipient awarded.
The awards are managed by a steering committee composed of community members and a city council liaison.

The nomination period for the 2024 awards is open until Feb. 10. Criteria for all categories and nomination forms can be found on the . Nominations may be submitted by email or delivered in person to Parkinson Recreation Centre or city hall.
The Anita Tozer Memorial Award, also part of the Civic Awards, is selected by the mayor and council and is not part of the general nomination process.
The 50th Annual Civic and Community Awards Celebration will take place on May 8 at the Delta Grand Hotel.
