A revised concept for the Wilden Market Square development has been presented to the city.
Development permit documents for Phase 1 submitted by Blenk Developments say plans for Market Square have evolved since the first concept was introduced as part of a rezoning application more than 20 years ago.
In 2019, the rezoning of the entire Wilden village area was considered a higher-density form of development made up of mixed-use, residential and commercial uses. While the general concept remains the same as the 2019 rezoning, the revised plan includes new initiatives according the Blenk香蕉视频直播檚 application:
- A 香蕉视频直播楳ain Street香蕉视频直播� concept connecting the Pond, the Market Square and the Park/School site in one linear experience.
- Proposed ground-oriented multi-level townhouse units facing surrounding streets in either a free-standing form or in the base of the apartment buildings.
- Due to the changing housing market, and economic scale of the project, a mix of building heights from three to six stories is proposed.
Phase 1 includes two mixed-use buildings (approximately 14,000 square feet) and three townhome buildings, providing 151 residential units, including 54 rental apartments. The development includes a car-free plaza, to be used as a gathering place for community events, markets, and festivals. Public space along Wilden Pond will connect to an indoor market hall.
Blenk Developments expects that once approved by the city, residential and commercial spaces will be available for pre-purchase and lease agreements.
The full Wilden Market Square development covers 1,500 acres with approximately 1,000 single, and multi-family homes. Phase 2 of the application is underway with a full build-out planned by 2030.
