People in the Central Okanagan now have a new option for medical care - getting hospital-level treatment without ever leaving home. 

Interior Health has unveiled a Hospital at Home (HaH) program at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH), giving eligible patients the chance to recover at home while receiving high-quality care.

Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals provide daily in-person visits, and virtual check-ins to ensure patients get the care they need.

Since launching in January, the HaH program has helped 30 patients in Kelowna. Participation is voluntary and only available to those who meet medical and geographic criteria. If they choose to leave the program or their condition worsens, they can be transferred back to the hospital.
