UPDATE: Power restored for all residents along Westside Road

A large portion of Westside Road is without power on Wednesday morning, Dec. 18.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.

Power has been restored for all residents.

UPDATE 10:33 a.m.

Power has been restored for the majority of Westside Road residents affected by Wednesday morning's outage.

Just 189 residents in Killenay Beach are now affected and will remain out of power until 1 p.m.

A crew is on scene and the outage remains under investigation.

On top of the recent snow and rain in the Central Okanagan, Westside Road has also been hit with a power outage.

Occurring at 4:36 a.m. Wednesday morning (Dec. 18), 1,148 residents are without power, stretching from north of Killenay Beach to south of Caesars.

The cause of the outage is currently under investigation.

BC Hydro has a crew on their way to the scene.

It's unknown at this time when the power will be restored.
