Kelowna's mayor resumes duties after rare artery condition

Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas is back on the job.

It has been over a month since the mayor was sidelined by his initial injury. 

香蕉视频直播淚 was diagnosed with a vertebral artery dissection, meaning an artery in the back of my head had split and was beginning to cause a clot,香蕉视频直播 Dyas said. This condition typically occurs in people under 45 years old and is quite rare, happening in about 1 in 100,000 people, with even greater odds as we age.香蕉视频直播

Dyas said the condition was caused by a series of sneezes while driving to city hall the morning of Feb. 4. His condition quickly deteriorated and he drove to Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) where he was quickly assessed.

Days added that he is still on the mend, but his focus will continue to be on city business.
