A man who caused a disturbance in downtown Kelowna on Wednesday night (March 12) was quickly arrested by the RCMP.
Around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 600-block of Bernard Avenue, where a man was "causing a disturbance and threatening a security guard with an edged weapon," RCMP said in a press release.
When officers arrived, they found and arrested the suspect, using a conducted energy weapon also known as a Taser in the process. The man was taken to hospital for medical attention and later released. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 13.
