The Kelowna RCMP is hoping to reunite the ashes of Evelyn Robertson with a loved one.
Recently, Robertson's ashes were found in a bag inside an abandoned tent in Kelowna. RCMP believe that Robertson's remains were left in the tent by a close family member who is experiencing un-sheltered homelessness.
Robertson passed away on March 1, 2020 from natural causes at the age of 93 and was cremated upon her wishes. Her ashes are now in the care of the RCMP.
The RCMP have attempted to locate family and friends of Robertson who would be able to provide a proper resting place but to date have been unsuccessful.
