Kelowna RCMP ask public for help identifying suspect

Crimestoppers and the RCMP have released a photo of a man accused of stealing a cell phone in West Kelowna.

The Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person accused of theft in West Kelowna. 

A security camera at the Superstore in West Kelowna captured footage of unidentified man taking a cellphone that was left behind by a shopper on June 11. Police have now released the image of the man in an effort to gain additional information regarding his identity.

According to the RCMP, a woman forgot her cell phone at a self-checkout station at the Superstore sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. 

Upon review of the security camera footage, the man was seen putting the phone into his pocket and leaving the store. 

People with information on the identity of man are asked to contact the Central Okanagan Crime StoppersÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS and reference RCMP file 2024-32004, or visit .
