According to City of Kelowna documents, more than 50 complaints have been received regarding the operation of the short-term rental. The home at 381 Viewcrest Court was purchased by the current owners in 2021, and a business licence was obtained in 2022 and has been renewed annually.

Staff are asking council to uphold a March 1 decision by the licence inspector to cancel the short-term rental business licence.

Bylaw officers have attended the property several times, giving verbal warnings to guests, and when not able to attend in person, post-complaint investigations were conducted.

A 37-page document provided by the homeowners states the complaints include loud music and parties, more guests than allowed under city bylaws, and improper parking of vehicles. It also states that 香蕉视频直播渘uisance complaints have been consistently unfounded for over two years,香蕉视频直播 and that 香蕉视频直播渢he majority of complaints are directed at us, the owners.香蕉视频直播

Claims of 香蕉视频直播減ersonal and media attacks香蕉视频直播 and 香蕉视频直播渘eighbours constantly monitoring our property香蕉视频直播 are also stated in the document. An "excessive" RCMP response to the home last year due to a complaint was also unfounded according to the document.

The owners say the constant complaints and harassment from neighbours have left family members fearful, anxious, and often unable to sleep, worrying about potential confrontations.

City staff conducted a review of the property, in January 2025 due to the significant volume of complaints, and also noted noise, parties, parking and operational complaints, received year after year.

The owners will have an opportunity to make their case to keep the short-term rental business licence before council at its March 31 meeting.
