The Kelowna Fire Department responded to several calls within a few minutes of each other on Friday (Apr. 25) morning.
It started just before 11:30 a.m. when calls came in about "visible smoke and flame" along Dry Valley Road. Crews arrived to discover a burn pile.
Shortly after that call, crews dealt with a vehicle incident near the Tim Horton's on Highway 97 and Leckie Road. One person was taken to hospital. RCMP was also on scene.
A few minutes later, the fire department was called to a fender-bender at Benvoulin and Springfield roads. It's unclear if anyone was injured. Shortly after that, crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at Spall Road and Enterprise Way.
Two vehicles had to be towed from the Enterprise Way collision and emergency were on scene blocking traffic during this time.
Fire crews were once again called to a possible grass fire on Morisson Road in Rutland a few minutes after the Enterprise incident. However, the grass fire turned out to be another burn pile.
