It was a busy morning for the Kelowna Fire Department (KFD) on Saturday morning.
Before being called to the fire at Ellis Place around 10:30 a.m., fire crews attended a minor structure fire in a vacant home in the 1400 block of Gordon Drive around 8:30 a.m.
When crews arrived to the scene, they found smoke coming from the eaves and rear side of the structure. They found a small fire at the rear entrance that they quickly extinguished.
Crews searched the structure and found no occupants in the home and also set up ventilation to clear the smoke.
No one was injured.
KFD attended the scene with three engines, a rescue unit, a safety unit and a command unit, for a total of 17 personnel.
The RCMP, emergency services, and Fortis BC also attended the scene.
