Kelowna airport parking construction making way for new hotel

Over the next 10 years, YLW will invest over $422 million in upgrades to infrastructure

Changes are being made to the short-term parking lot at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) in preparation for the new Sutton Place Hotel. 

The relocation of the exit and entry will be completed in two phases:

  • Week of Oct. 28 Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥“ New exit from the short-term parking lot;
  • Week of Nov. 4 Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥“ New entrance to the short-term parking lot.

After construction is complete customers will no longer be able to pay for short-term parking using cash. Parking payment can be made using credit and debit cards or the TIBA Mobile Access app. Construction updates are available through the .

Over the next 10 years, YLW will invest over $422 million in upgrades to infrastructure, funded through airport revenues and Airport Improvement Fees.

Construction of the , which goes to a public hearing on Nov. 5, is expected to begin in 2025.
