Highway 1, east of Revelstoke to close for avalanche control work

Highway 1, east of Revelstoke will be closed for planned avalanche control work.

According to DriveBC, the stretch of the highway between Illecillewaet Brake Check and Hemlock Grove Boardwalk will be closed in both directions. The closure will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

DriveBC said it would provide an update at 12:45 p.m.
