Grey smoke above Kelowna Walmart from pallet fire

Fire crews were called to Walmart just before 1 p.m.

A fire sparked behind WalMart in Kelowna on Oct. 6, 2024.

The Kelowna Fire Department responded to a fire behind Walmart on Banks Road around 1 p.m. today, Oct. 6. 

A number of wood pallets ignited and sent grey smoke into the air. 

Crews had the fire extinguished shortly after arriving on scene. 

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. 

RCMP also attended the scene.
