The owner of Mirror Image Customs, Andy Roffel, his son, and two employees were indirect witnesses to the murder-suicide and have experienced "emotional hardship" over the last year as a result.

One year after a fire was started inside a building on Kelowna's Adams Road during an incident that ended in a double homicide, a business located adjacent to the crime scene is still recovering.

The automotive wrap shop, Mirror Image Customs, sustained significant damage from the fire, smoke, and water used to extinguish the blaze that was started at an adjoining business at 135 Adams Road on March 27, 2024.

Andy Roffel, the owner of , his son, and two employees were ncident involving two gunshot-related deaths and fire and have experienced "emotional hardship" over the last year as a result.

A fundraiser started by Roffel's parents on GoFundMe is asking the community to help Mirror Image complete the repairs.

The RCMP have characterized the incident as a double homicide but the GoFundMe states that the incident was a murder-suicide.

"The fire and water destroyed all Mirror Images equipment and products, leaving the business unable to operate," said Henry Roffel, the organizer of the fundraiser.

The GoFundMe states that while the business was insured for damages and interruption, Roffle has had difficulty accessing the funds necessary to complete the repairs from his insurance company.

"The yearlong continuing process of battling the insurance company as well as PTSD from the tragic event has taken its toll," said Henry.
