An explosive device that shut down Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 major highway on February 27, was considered to be sophisticated.
The device was found by a pedestrian who was walking by a strip mall along Harvey Avenue.
The pedestrian called the police and after approximately seven hours of road closures and the evacuation of nearby businesses, the IED was 香蕉视频直播渕ade safe,香蕉视频直播� by B.C.香蕉视频直播檚 specialized Explosive Disposal Unit.
The Disposal Unit used a robot and neutralized the explosive at approximately 7 p.m. on Feb. 27.
The RCMP confirmed that the device had the capacity to detonate and was sophisticated.
