Crash involving bus briefly slowed morning highway commute in Kelowna

The crash happened at 6:35 a.m.

Kelowna fire crews have quickly cleared the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 Friday morning.

The crash between a bus and a mid-sized vehicle happened around 6:35 a.m. in the intersection of Highway 97 and Edwards Road in the northbound lanes. 

The vehicle suffered significant damage and was towed away just after 7 a.m., while the bus, which was able to pull off onto Edwards Road, sustained minor exterior damage on the right side at the back end. 

Fire crews, Kelowna RCMP, and emergency services were all on scene. It's unknown if anyone was injured in the incident.

The scene was cleared by 7:05 a.m.
