The online survey, or Phase Two, remains open until July 2.
Information is being collected to help determine things such as what should be considered when choosing a location for a transfer station, how often should garbage be collected, costs associated with curbside collection, and preferred methods of education and outreach.
Survey participants will be entered to win one of five $50 grocery store gift cards.
Those who wish to fill out the survey on paper can pick them up at municipal halls across the region and must be returned by July 2.
Phase One of public engagement found that 73 per cent of respondents are excited at the possibility of curbside food waste collection and an additional 10 percent said they would participate when the program is implemented.
