A motorcyclist was thrown from their bike following a collision at Leathead Road and Highway 97 North.
According to those on the scene, it appears the motorbike was hit from behind in the eastbound lanes of Leathead and the impact sent the rider into a white van, just after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
There does not appear to be any major damage to any of the vehicles involved. The motorbike rider was placed on a stretcher and put into the care of BC Ambulance.
Workers from a nearby auto shop were the first on scene and helped to control traffic until emergency crews arrived.
The eastbound lanes of Leathead at Lester Road are closed while crews are on scene.
