Evacuees fleeing the wildfires of Golden are being welcomed into the City of Revelstoke. 

The province has permitted several services to be opened up to the evacuees. In a press release from the City, the following services were noted:

-Emergency Support Services: BC evacuees can register for assistance. Please visit the ESS desk at the Community Centre (600 Campbell Avenue, Revelstoke) to register and check in. BC residents can also register online at 

-Camping at Centennial Park: To access this service, folks are asked to do the following:

• Please check in at the Community Centre to register with staff and obtain your parking pass. 
• Place your parking pass in your dashboard, on your tent or somewhere highly visible. 
• Make your way to your designated space.
• If you need to stay longer than your original estimate, please re-visit the check-in desk. 

-No fees at Sani Dump: While the evacuation orders are active, the City of Revelstoke has removed fees associated with the sanitation dump. 

The Okanagan Library, Revelstoke branch is also welcoming its space to evacuees. In a Facebook post on July 25, the library spoke directly to evacuees, saying, "If you are looking for a fun place to hang out for free, drop by the library. No card needed, but we can issue you a card if you want one.We can help you access resources. We have computers, WIFI, and printing and scanning services."
