New board for Downtown Kelowna Association

Downtown Kelowna Association AGM sees new board members

The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) has a new board of directors following its annual general meeting held on Wednesday, June 5.

Executive:

  • Renata Mills - President - Festivals Kelowna;
  • Travis Pye - Vice President -     Lakehouse Homestore
  • Jaspal Dhial - Treasurer - GSL Group
  • Caroline Bye - Secretary - Kelowna Yacht Club

Directors:

  • Crystal Dougan - Little Hobo Soup & Sandwich Shop 
  • Thomas Eaves - Pushor Mitchell LLP
  • David Lindsay - Train Station Pub
  • Nathan Matis - Sweat Studios
  • Jillian Povarchook - olive & elle  
  • Craig Shirra - UBC Properties Trust
  • Tina Thygesen - Mission Group
  • Jason Wills* - Venture Reality
  • Rick Webber - City of Kelowna councillor - ex-officio

Dhial, Lindsay, Thygesen, and Wills are new to the DKA board.

The DKA thanked departing members for their work including Yarden Gershony, past president (Rush Ihas Hardwick LLP), Jenna Kopperson (Deville Bernard), and Warren Turner (Turner First Aid Training).

Elections are held annually, and board members serve for a term of two years.
