Tickets still available for Ryga Arts Festival in Summerland

Numerous arts-related events have been scheduled

Tickets are still available for many of the events set to take place at the ninth annual Ryga Arts Festival in Summerland.

The event is held each year in honour of George Ryga, a Canadian author and playwright, who lived in Summerland from 1983 until his death in 1987 at the age of 55.

The opening night celebrations will be held at the George Ryga Arts and Cultural Centre on Wednesday, Sept. 18, with other events planned for Sept. 19 to 22.

The location of the final event, the Hootenanny in honour of Dick Clemets, has been changed and will now be held Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. at Detonate Brewing. This is a drop-in event and is free to the public.

A full list of events can be found online at www.rygafest.ca/.

While the site has ticket information included, links to all event tickets can be found online at .
