The Tragically Hip香蕉视频直播檚 songbook is getting the jukebox musical treatment under the guidance of 香蕉视频直播淐ome From Away香蕉视频直播 producer Michael Rubinoff.

Named after a Hip song, the show dubbed 香蕉视频直播淚t香蕉视频直播檚 a Good Life If You Don香蕉视频直播檛 Weaken香蕉视频直播 promises to draw on the band香蕉视频直播檚 deep catalogue of Canadian classics, including lyrics by late frontman Gord Downie.

Rubinoff will be assisted by fellow producers David and Hannah Mirvish.

The book is written by Brian Hill, who worked on the Broadway musical 香蕉视频直播淭he Story of My Life,香蕉视频直播 and Ahmed Moneka, a nominee at this year香蕉视频直播檚 Juno Awards for global music album.

Producers say the musical will premiere at Hamilton香蕉视频直播檚 Theatre Aquarius next year with plans to further develop the project at Toronto Metropolitan University香蕉视频直播檚 theatre school.

An open casting call is set for March 9 at the Creative School Chrysalis at Toronto Metropolitan University.
