Sum 41 final Canadian tour plays Kelowna

It might be a year away but pre-sale tickets to see Sum 41 in Kelowna are available for purchase as of March 26.

This final Canadian tour announcement comes as the band releases its final album, Heaven :x: Hell on March 29.

The two-time Juno Award winners rose to stardom in the early 2000s with a blend of punk, rap and metal elements woven into their music.

Natives of Ajax, Ontario, Sum 41 originally started as a NOFX cover band called Kaspir in 1996, before changing their name when opening for Supernova.

According to TicketMaster, the band signed an international record deal with Island Records in 1999, which resulted in their 2001 debut release All Killer, No Filler.

From 2001 to 2003, Sum 41 even was able to borrow the drummer Tommy Lee from Motley Crue.

Sum 41Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s final tour of The Setting Sun will play Prospera Place on Jan. 13, at 6:50 p.m. and tickets for their concerts usually sell out fast.

Joining the band on stage will also be special guests Pup and Gob.
