Dozens of scooters are set to roll into the Penticton Youth Park, the largest venue of its kind in B.C., for a competition on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The event, open to professionals and amateurs, will close the skate park from noon to 5 p.m.

Registration will be available on-site.

The scooter competition joins several other scheduled sporting events in Penticton this weekend.

A swim across Skaha Lake, Slo-pitch tournament at Lion's Park, bike race along Three Blind Mice trail and a beach volleyball event at Skaha Beach headline an action-packed day for the Penticton Peach Festival on Saturday.
