Penticton Beer Run is back: 10 beer tastings along 10 km course

PentictonÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Beer Run is back. Ten Penticton craft beer tastings along a scenic 10-km course with a beer at the finish line to top off the day on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Starting at PentictonÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s newest brewery, Abandoned Railway, participants will enjoy this yearÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s route starting out by cruising down the KVR trail as they sample their way through Penticton.

Tastings from Barley Mill, Cannery, Tin Whistle, Neighbourhood, Slackwater, Highway 97, Firehall, GiantÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Head, Yellow Dog, and Abandoned Railway are included.

Partial proceeds will again be donated to the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society, a not-for-profit that supports getting local youth active in the outdoors, promoting healthy lifestyles and mental health through outdoor recreation opportunities.

For several years, PentictonÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Hoodoo Adventures Company has put on the fun run that sees participants dress up in the craziest costumes they can find.

Fun Fact: Penticton was named CanadaÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Craft Beer Capital (Lonely Planet - 2020), one of the Best Beer Towns in Canada (Expedia - 2018), and one of the Top 10 Best Destinations for Beer Enthusiasts (AskMen.co - 2018).

October is also Penticton Beer Block Week.

The fifth annual edition of the city-wide celebration returns from Oct. 13 to 22, and thereÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s a new brewery ready to get in on giving back to the community.

Port Moody-based Yellow Dog Brewing is now in Penticton joining beer-week festivities and collaborating on the Do Good Beer of 2023 in Penticton.
