Madison Violet is Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac, a duo of alluring vocals, of perfect harmonies, of finely crafted instrumental capabilities and of engaging stories.

The Vernon Folk Roots Society continues its season on Jan. 22 with yet another showcase of some of Canada香蕉视频直播檚 finest musicians taking place at the Vernon Jazz Club.

The pair, who both have roots in rural Cape Breton, came together musically in the late 1990s.

Influenced by their maritime heritage, MacEachern and MacIsaac began creating music together that had roots firmly planted in their past, though which also contained elements and styles of contemporary artists who they looked up to.

Categorizing their music is difficult. There are so many broad ranging musical influences and yet their sound is uniquely their own.

The duo has now achieved an impressive list of accolades throughout its long career, including a Juno nomination, a Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year and a Critic香蕉视频直播檚 Choice Award from Country Music People香蕉视频直播檚 Magazine.

2025 marks the 25th anniversary of Madison Violet, a rare and impressive feat that they are both proud of and grateful for.

This current tour is more about celebrating that milestone than about the promotion of any newly released material. They will be accompanied onstage by multi instrumentalist Jakub Zapotoczny

The most recent album Eleven is now two years old and is considered their most candid album to date, filled with deeply personal stories of love and loss.

From a technical point of view the album was self-recorded and produced in a converted Airstream belonging to MacEachern where they felt that they could take their time and spend as long as they liked getting things right.

MacIsaac explains that they went back to school at Berkeley College of Music during COVID and learned the world of digital audio workstations which allowed them to tackle the Eleven album with the confidence that their differing strengths could be brought together to see the project through.
