Local Losers brings live music Underground in Vernon

Show featuring local artists already sold out

An underground promoter is continuing to bring local musicians up into the spotlight.

Local Losers Underground presents a live music performance featuring Ranger, Tidal Baby and The Whelms Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Marie Fleming Hall at the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre (VDPAC).

Noah MacLeod, from Local Losers Underground, shares, 香蕉视频直播淲e are so excited to be partnering with the Vernon & District Performing Arts Center! To celebrate our first collaboration, we have brought together three of our favourite bands, who have come up alongside us! Ranger is visiting from Victoria, reuniting Vernon musicians with their hometown. They are playing with two staples of the Vernon underground music scene, Tidal Baby and The Whelms. These three groups have deep community ties, and it is so exciting to bring them all together for one amazing night of live music!香蕉视频直播

Ranger, an Indie Soul/Rock band fronted by guitarist and singer-songwriter Shane Ranger, Drawing inspiration from musical influences like Bahamas and The Black Keys, Ranger seamlessly blends smooth, uncluttered melodies with thoughtful, textural instrumentation. After touring successfully in BC in 2022 and launching their first self-titled EP in 2023.

Tidal Baby delivers an energetic and modern take on instrumental music, taking inspiration from legends like Link Wray and Dick Dale. 香蕉视频直播淒renched in sweat and reverb香蕉视频直播, Tidal Baby香蕉视频直播檚 performance promises to evoke a sense of nostalgia while offering a fresh interpretation of a bygone era.

香蕉视频直播淏ig thanks to the Performing Arts Centre for hosting some of the best underground original artists the valley has to offer. We are very fortunate to share in this opportunity, and there has never been a shortage of talent to come out of the Okanagan,香蕉视频直播 says Connor Whiskin from Tidal Baby.

The Whelms, a collaboration from the Okanagan/Shuswap region, brings a unique blend of country roots, punk, 香蕉视频直播70s rock, grunge, and metal. Comprising Lowell Friesen, Taiyo Nishihara, and Brodie Muskett, The Whelms offers genre-defying sounds that promise surprises, including hardcore breakdowns in the middle of a country song and reggae tunes.
