A Rocky Mountain High Christmas, a holiday-themed John Denver tribute performance, is coming to venues in Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton next month.
Promoters are promising "an unforgettable night filled with the timeless hits of John Denver and beloved Christmas music, making it the perfect way to kick off the holiday season."
While shows are coming to Penticton's Cleland Theatre on Dec. 2, and the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on Dec. 8, three dates have been booked for the Kelowna Community Theatre: Dec. 5, 6, and 7.
The show is headlined by Canadian recording artists Rick and Steve Worrall, with special guests Melina Schein, Chad Abrahamson and the Soundstage Productions Youth Choir also set to take the stage.
Musicians will pay homage to Denver's acclaimed discography, including 1975's Rocky Mountain Christmas album. The performance has been featured at venues across Canada.
"This tribute to John Denver's music is a genuine celebration, focusing solely on the music itself rather than attempting to imitate the legendary artist," promoters said in an announcement.
