A Johnny Cash tribute concert will be held at the Summerland Community Centre later this month.

The concert, The Music of Johnny Cash and Other Outlaws, is performed by A Man Named Sue on March 21 at 7 p.m.

The performer, a graduate of Summerland Secondary School, became a Johnny Cash fan in his 20s. He has performed as A Man Named Sue since 2009 and has played in the Pacific Northwest, Alberta and Peuerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The Johnny Cash music includes country rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, folk and gospel.

The concert will be around 70 per cent Johnny Cash songs, with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard songs as well.
